Know - Student Tools

There is an old adage: the ignorant make mistakes, the smart learn from their mistakes, the wise learn from the mistakes of others.  There is a collective wisdom of a class full of students that is always greater than our own.  The only real mistake is to not tap into it.  In short, ask questions.  Your class no doubt folks with different experiences to your own.  As they (on average) have two arms and two legs, it is likely that they have tackled your scenario before.  At the very least they will have ideas that may answer your question.

Always remember that there are often many potential answers that will achieve your goal.  The Know stage is about choosing the one that leaves you certain, without a shadow of a doubt, that the answer is right for you. It doesn't have to be something you can do right away.  Often it won't, otherwise what would you be learning? But it must be something you wholly believe (a) you can accomplish as you work on it through the following stages, and (b) will achieve your goal.

That said, let's assume you choose the wrong answer. The worse case scenario is that this will become clear in the later stages.  If it is still something you Desire you'll return to this stage.  The LMA Philosophy doesn't guarantee the speediest path to mastery; it doesn't guarantee that there will be no rework.  It does show that the earlier we select the right answer, i.e. the sooner we Know, the sooner we can learn and master the skill we Desire.
